This guide will help you plan the perfect visit with your furry friend, complete with our favorite paths, times to go, and what to bring.

Rules for bringing Dogs to Red Rocks

Dogs are allowed inside the Amphitheatre and the surrounding park during non-event hours. The rules are really simple; 1) They need to be kept on a leash, 2) You need to clean up after them and, 3) You have to pack out their poop.

Dogs are not permitted during events unless they are certified service animals.

While outside of the Amphitheatre, the same rules apply, but it can be even more important to keep them on a leash as there is wildlife and snakes that could change the course of your visit.

Best times to visit with your Dogs

Red Rocks is open to the public one hour before sunrise until one hour after sunset on non-event days. On event days, the park is open from sunrise until approximately 2 p.m. When you enter the park, there is usually signage that lets you know if there is a show that night as well as if there is a private event. The best time to go with dogs though is early in the morning on any day or late in the afternoon on non-show days to avoid the heat and crowds.
